The Beginning of the End (2005)

The Beginning of the End (2005)

A Poem by drak
"

... (drawing by me)

"

It begins now

All is lost

What I believed to have done

Never came to my fullest intentions

I have won the battle

Or have I?

What is the point of victory

When you have no one to celebrate it with?

The war hasn’t ended

I have nothing left

Except those fiendish fools - the root of this destruction

This bloodstained sword looks so alluring

It sways back and forth, over my head, like a pendulum

Waiting to be released by my command

Shall I give in?...Shall I play the Roman Fool?

 - No -

I refuse to let them relish in my demise

The darkness is gone...for now

But daylight brings a new song

Even if I must suffer through one hundred years of unbearable pain

Just to see one day of happiness - then so be it

And that one day of happiness

Is the day when I see my foes fall

This is only the beginning of it all

~The End~
