Time's WallA Poem by JohnTheSavage
Engaged in the dance of our lives, our eyes meet.
A momentary glance means much more that that among the twirling feet. Alas, what barrier works better than a wall made by time? Less than a generation, but still so difficult to climb. Away from the judgement of familiar faces, Living in the freedom of brand-new places Perhaps we could find somewhere where our wants could rule. Then Time hauls me from my dream, laughing, "you know, you're a fool!" For you're living in my future and I in your past. There is no time machine that'd make the change to help us last. I can only put it in the hands of fate as I wait, But by then, it may already be too late.
