Sitting Idle

Sitting Idle

A Poem by ND

Remember when you said
that my eyes were harsh and burning
But what a change
We're so far from there
Now sitting quietly
one to one
Not so sad as we once were
So distant but just an inch away
breath upon breath
Not a fingerprint left
Just sweet concern
and watch fullness
One word slipped
The burning of us would begin
It's not a risk i'm willing
for you to take
So broken I was before
So silent it is now.
I'd rathr stay still,
With the engine running
silently in front of my house
