Looking For A Poet

 

I need a poet,

Mysterious, and deep,
Looking for one heart to keep,

Raven-haired, and long,
With a secret song,

Dark hands beautiful,
Strings play musical,

The deepest streams,
Of a million dreams,

Eyes that mirror,
And old, old, soul,

As I come nearer,
I feel he knows,

The stirrings, yearnings,
Understands the burnings,

True in heart,
Alone...apart,

Loves the world,
Reaches out, uncurled,

Grows, and shares,
Not afraid...he cares,

And won't forsake,
His true self,

Or make me sit,
Upon a shelf,

Will adore me free,
Will let me leave,

To explore my mind,
To search and find,

All that exists,
All that we miss,

If we stop seeking,
If we stop peeking,

Into the unknown,
Closing the unshown,

Both of us needing,
Inside the pleading,

Must be noticed,
Opened lotus,

Together...yet apart,
Two...but one heart,

And when the world yells,
That we have failed,

And custom says no,
To each other, we'll go,

We will understand,
Reach tender hand,
Come home again.

Poets are seldom appreciated unless they are dead...and some are them are not appreciated even then! But being a poet is a condition...not an occupation.

I love this. It is beautiful. Two poets in love, whose beautiful golden souls take flight and spirale up in love, and whos hearts intertwine and become one. This is like a dream or a fantasy but in the best sense. This must be who you wish for, I hope he comes into your life someday.

A Poet heart. Sad things most great Poets are lost in old dreams or nightmares. If we get lucky. We find someone on the same road and with the same desire. I knew many writers in my time. Easy to write. Hard to give. I had a dream I would be like a Hemingway. Do all the wars. Write the great novel and blow my brains out young. Thank you for marriage and many kids. I like this poem. I do believe two writer who have no fear of freedom and thoughts could do very well. A excellent poem.
