Deer in the Headlights

Deer in the Headlights

A Poem by Drowning In Reality

Deer in the Headlights

I roam the forest

Of existence

Dazed and confused

Artemis vanished

From sight

Wounded beyond

Repair

Cannot lie down

Rest means death

Light shines

In the distance

Your face smiles

I stand frozen

Like a deer

In the headlights

Surrendering

To the will
