America The Beautiful Where have you gone?A Poem by Matt ArtisMy first Political "song".
America The Beautiful Where Have You Gone? Carnivorous bosses Feeding on the meek Signing million dollar Bonuses With the blood of the weak Needing to feed upon those Who just need to feed Solely to gain respect For stealing someone else's Stolen ideas Oh America the Beautiful where have you gone With your amber waves of grain Replaced so hastily with Ebony fields of oil Purple mountain majesty replaced by Steel and glass thrusted so high into the sky From sea to warming sea Freedom no longer rings The static like sound of oppression takes its place Oh America the Beautiful where have you gone? Taking advice from a guy Who can't even read his own Who Annihilates those who He is supposed to be saving And abandoning those He should be leading Mentally Constipated Politicians Making important decisions For the betterment of all those Who can drive a Ferrari if they chose? Oh America the Beautiful where have you gone With your amber waves of grain Replaced so hastily with Ebony fields of oil Purple mountain majesty replaced by Steel and glass thrusted so high into the sky From sea to warming sea Freedom no longer rings The static like sound of oppression takes its place Oh America the Beautiful where have you gone? The American dream Overthrown by the American Nightmare Where the living dead are celebrities And anorexia is beauty Doctor Media attaches the IV For a constant feed of lies "He Who Has the Most, Never Dies" Oh America the Beautiful where have you gone With your amber waves of grain Replaced so hastily with Ebony fields of oil Purple mountain majesty replaced by Steel and glass thrusted so high into the sky From sea to warming sea Freedom no longer rings The static like sound of oppression takes its place Oh America the Beautiful where have you gone?
