A Poem by h d e rushin

6 feet, two inches, no less than that.

127, one half pounds. (i'm flexible here)

GED or high school equivalency.

22-30-19.

Ugly as sin, with hair extensions.

Hair extensions and ugly (whichever came first).

Can walk a room in stocking feet, sans makeup.

Can cook a biscuit.

Willing to talk jazz for 3 hours running,

kiss for seven minutes,

make love for 20 hours or until her

kids knock on car window.

Don't own a microwave.

Loves cats.

Can learn to hate the people that I hate.

Ebola free, with no recent travels

to the condemned zone.

Had a father who's picture she carries.

Knows her way around a garden.

Reasonable and can be reasoned with.

Has written at least one poem in the last 12 hours.

Can speak in tongues

or knows someone who has.

Has a birthmark but no sharp pains.

No open sores or wounds that wont heal.

Pines away for love like Echo does until nothing

is left of her but her voice.

Can understand that among us walks

the crest fallen, the psychotic,

the ego maniac, the terribly broken hearted.

Looking for same.

Its all in the eye of the beholder; at least, that's what I've always imagined is the case.

Personally I'm still pining, but I live in hope. T

always Terpsichore, look for same and you will find them.....dana
Fascinating and quite brilliant piece. The last three lines are truly inspired.

“Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect” (Matthew 5:48).

Beccy.

I think I would buy a couple of raffle tickets just to have lunch with this person.
So interesting. I love character pieces. This one rocks.

Vivid is all i can say about this piece and well the other thing is unique.
I didn't expect to enjoy this piece as much when i started as i did by the end.

So yeah thanks for sharing.

In days gone by the "personal" columns of newspapers were called the "agony" columns. For good reason.
