A Poem by h d e rushin

God is love.

January is the first month.

Mother took the hot comb to my sisters hair each morning.

Squeal's could be heard.

Let X be > 10.

I think, therefore I am.

Prayer, more prayer, then bread.

I was unable to read Plath until my 50's.

I voted last evening.

My guy didn't win.

The phone bill keeps coming.

D-Day really happened.

Sister has a mouse.

Now a calico cat.

I towel dry my oily feet.

There's only one God.

The driveway's been cracked since the vortex.

4 people follow me on Facebook.

Three I've never met.

Me and Angela Basset are related.

This I found out on PBS.

I don't respond to text messages.

When I told you to go to hell.

I never dreamed you could.

this one outta make it into an anthology highschoolers have to deal with...let 'em see something from the day-to-day, let 'em know there's a poem round every corner, under every rock, at the end of their nose...

you're awesome and so damn real...power point of truth, thank you for writing so freely and openly and for letting us a glimpse into your world and mind, greatest gift we can give our fellow humans during our short time here.

i really like this...it's so different, and that ending is ominous...
if i name it as a truism, as an absolute, it will be.
i was curious on Plath...why not until 50?

and related to Angela Bassett, such a great actress, that is quite cool...i like the mouse/cat part...i shared it with my cat, she smiled.

thank you for this.

A great list of absolutes tumble down the page to affirm the terrible beauty or lovely terror of uncertainty.
