feelA Poem by h d e rushinwhen the youngest among us gallop off, away, the requite of seasons, faith is not to be repaired. "Called Back" is the inscription on Emily Dickinson's head stone in Amherst.. Called back as a passerine witness to war. Called back to a time that frowns on unloved women, as if the god of reasons says, "give us another chance", student. Let us rally to your repair, pull the repent loneliness from your petticoat. Or as my auntie says, "lets find you a suitor" so she returns with a church girl with pink painted fingernails as long as uncles thromboembolism. The one, like a mini ball, that took him in that disastrous night. Let us restore to you dear Emily, to the death and earth to whom it is adjudged to belong, the endless love of gray skies/ and then again, this noon. © 2014 h d e rushinFeatured Review
