breaking news!A Poem by h d e rushinAll my outfits have blood on them. Some have bullet wounds. Another, made of linen has been cleaned for the final time. So when Easter comes again, I will be in no great hurry to strut it since the bottom has wrinkled like the face of an ape. There are Bantu Pygmies who have eaten all the mountain gorillas to extinction. They make loud clicking noises and dance away their fears. Tirelessly they roll their arrows in poisons made from the belies of beetles. Nash their loose teeth in those typographical symbols of ornaments. And a woman asks me a hundred times whose mascara is it in my medicine cabinet? What right have I to come home after 3 am? Why she cant see my cell phone? Because there's only 700 gorillas left, I say. Funny how primatology is rarely a good enough excuse. © 2015 h d e rushinFeatured Review
