biologist lovesong

A Poem by h d e rushin

It's the final stage of mitosis and of the second division of meiosis in which

the spindle disappears and the nuclear envelope reforms around each set of chromosomes.

This is how I would describe this patchwork Blackperson, half vibrant, half disregard,

partially degusted, missing some organisms, who thought he had grown stronger

by hardship. Which is proof that biology, save the evolution of leaves,

is never suitable for magnifying distant objects. And if teleporting was a real device,

that process of moving your ridiculous a*s by psychokinesis, then consider

yourself

forgotten

Black, white, red, green or otherwise, "ridiculous a*s" pretty much describes all of us, a certainly most of us under the spell of lovesongs. There is an admirable and deftly mixed combination of the playful and the deadly serious here; it is a privilege to watch your gray matter at work.
