stars wearing pastels

stars wearing pastels

A Poem by h d e rushin

as if being abducted wasn't enough,

or punishing oneself on the Devil,

AB Roller, my sister

surfaces as Amaryllis,

Virgil's shepherdess,

to assert that jeans make

her cry.

That the Mediterranean

diet is just

another's phraseology

you strap on your

back of eternal cures.

"Water weight"!

she screams

in her last

human voice.

Diets.....how many have I tried throughout my lifetime? How many excuses have I used when my belt is a bit tight? Jeans....well, they don't make me cry, but bathing suits certainly might! :) The stars are always on diets. New ones seem to emerge each day. Very interesting write here, Dana. Lydi**

This poem is quirky while being interesting at the same time. In order to understand readers have to read it twice or more, which is a good thing.

Indeed, stars wearing pastel rather than sparkle. Fascinating poem, that to me has a quiet intricately classic feel and theme.

Dear, dear sister, she sings so sweetly, yet the taste of her is so very bitter.

Beccy.

Trés chic comes at high cost. Advertisers should be held accountable to promoting healthy images.

I 've got to admit I find it difficult to get beyond the power of your writes. Frankly you astound me and I turn A sickly shade of envy when I read you.

This is one vignette thats being played out millions if not billions of times round the world. There's so much pressure on the youth - it seems to be getting worse per generation. Their unhappiness is our unhappiness - siblings, friends, acquaintances. So the pressure is on us all by the 'sheeple- makers' to have us all 'wanting' more and more of their goods and services.
The brevity of this write belies the enormity of the tragedy unfolding on us all.
Powerful writing Dana.
