A Poem by h d e rushin

Easily

a runaway train

could jump the tracks and kill you.

Two old lovers in a garden hugging?

Not so much.

Fate had many meanings. I believe we decide our fate. Good or bad decisions can send us on a good journey or not. I liked the poem. You said a lot in so few words.

That run away train... it's fate, hell we would have nothing else to call it that would sound beautiful. Both those old lovers; they gave fate a whole new name, and a far more beautiful one on the human spectrum.

Tenacity.

Survive the runaway train that is life, then hugs in the garden are the blissful reward.

Beccy.

why is it that when I read this I hear "sticks and stone may break my bones but words will never harm me?" words do the very worst harm, once spoken can't be undone.

thinking of runaway trains makes me want to hug and hug, especially in the garden (which i am busy planting)
