concerning inspirationA Poem by h d e rushinThe world, unrecognizable now, is full of curves. Note to myself: THE WORLD IS FULL OF CURVES. I left the mall early just to be downright hot, and rolled my tee shirt sleeves up as if holding there in it's folds a pack of Lucky Strikes. My sister owned a Mexicano's Gremlin in the 70's with it's curved sides and tilt steering wheel until everything on it fell off in the street. See what I mean? Having owned a single thing in life might mean you've curved your thinking around want and desire; feeling and forgetting, all in poet time of course, where mystical ship props up the axle, pulls off the size 13 flat in the snow. Says to you, lonely and heartbroken, that it's ok now that those who use to hold your tiny hand in warm rooms are gone on. That the heavy-cloaked, inexorable badness hovers silently waiting patiently for another calamity to happen. And when it does' we will name it inspiration and lay like the dead in our beds staring at that which might stumble out from beneath it's lavender fields. © 2015 h d e rushinReviews
