No Puppy Love

What does it mean to love?

when you are so young
life is such a mistery
but you swear
that you know what loving is
and that you could spend
the rest of your life
with that person.

when last week
you said that you
were in love with someone else.

does loving mean
changing your mind
all the time about the person
you love?

or does it mean
caring about someone
so much that
you are ready
to give up
your life
for that person
and that you
have and are willing
to give that person
your heart and soul
and it just can't compare
with no puppy love?
