Dying DownA Poem by Dave W.We are all wanderers and vagabonds....Cold silently creeps, Fog slinks and slithers.
October chills felt by all, Skeletons quake and quiver, Chattering teeth rattles the skull, Goose flesh shakes and shivers. Footsteps heard in darkest night, Seeking warmth to deliver. Wandering from street to street, Looking for hope just a sliver. Dreams dreamt of late, Fire dies, now just an ember Better days, the hope of youth, A haze hard to remember Tears stream down a time worn face, Loves lost it splendor © 2024 Dave W.Author's Note
