No more to write

Okay just one more, 

poem to pen, 

just one more line, 

where to begin? 

Maybe one for the heart, 

about love that is true, 

maybe one about failure, 

wait that's not new. 

How about a poetic story, 

with a beginning, middle, and end.  

maybe a sonnet I, 

could give to a friend.  

How about overcoming, 

a trial raging and fierce, 

words spoken so harshly, 

through the heart they did pierce. 

No none of these, 

quite measure up, 

this day had it's fill, 

overflowing the cup, 

tonight I will wait,

till Muse visits me,

in the evening so late,

till writing flows free.

The enjambment gave a hint of syncopation that grabbed the readers attention.

Next to last stanza...."its"----I read the line as possessive.
I like the slant rhyme in the first verse. Yes, sometimes when there is nothing to write, we do anyway and then miracles happen and we end up writing something....even something quite worthwhile.
