Evenings Call

Evenings Call

A Poem by Dave W.
"

Love is passion's prize.....

"
Evening's call rings out,
ears attune answer this primal song,
elemental forces tease the sense's,
bathed in moon light blue,
open to promise.

I hear Calliope's fingers soothe my heart,
 Aphrodite serves new wine,
lips quenched for longing,
hearts forged in Eros fire,
two souls become one,
the night far spent,
day break soon arises,
hope on the horizon...

Thank you for sharing this poem, Dave W. I can really feel the depth of emotion and the blending of mythological figures to explore themes of love and connection. Your use of Calliope and Aphrodite adds a unique layer of inspiration and desire. The imagery and flow of your words create a vivid atmosphere, and I appreciate the creativity behind it. It's clear that a lot of thought went into this piece. I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Thank you so much for this kind review
This contains mythological references but we hope peace and love are NOT myths.
I like the hopeful atmosphere of this piece.

Thank you so much for the review
"Aphrodite serves new wine,"

I really loved that line. Also, all the literary references in the poem that add to the beauty of your expression. Aphrodite is my favorite goddess.
