Ecce HomoA Poem by Dave W.Behold the man.......
May I have the peace,
that writing brings, the deep things that move me, that inspire me, that connect with me, to express, to love, to feel, to dream. Where has this turbulence come from? What is the price paid for emptying my heart out into nothingness? What is your interpretation of my passion? Do you know me? Have you taken the time to know me? I am not that image you have made me to be, I am flawed so deeply, without writing I would go crazy, it makes my heart happy, if you found solace, if you felt love, if you connected with my sadness. All of these scribbles are only facets of a greater whole. I write about the hole inside, I pour myself out, as I am poured out by pain and loneliness, always at an arm's length anyone will be, you cannot get close to me, all you will see, is my created desire of who I would love to be, alas that good man is not me, thinking on this I weep bitterly, my inner man screams to be free, please open your eyes and try to see. I love my friends and the connection I make; I love to listen and converse about the mysteries of life, I love the deep things two souls can reach into, I love to feel, to feel, to feel, great passion, great sadness, mysterious darkness, lights redemption, this human experience, I try to conquer the coward that I am, oh, please see the real me, nothing to be desired, nothing to praise, nothing special, just a flawed human trying to get through life and not hurt others.......
