True love Solitude

Oh Solitude why are we together again

I thought I was done with you 

I had found someone else and bid you adeiu 

You are cruel with isolation 

the way you answer in silence to the longing of my heart 

Stop giving me these lessons of patience 

these teachings of self discovery 

I have had my fill of me 

I wish to no longer attend your classes 

Oh solitude you are cold and unkind 

the way you leave me to get lost

 in the halls of my mind 

There is no solace in your eyes 

no solace in your vacant smile 

no solace in the emptiness you offer 

I am done with you 

I will find my companion true 

someone to connect to 

you are not the truth 

Oh Solitude depression is all you bring 

pain of the heart is your specailty 

let me be free from your dark presense 

your grave side manner is not for me 

You feed me with weeping 

you feed me with mourning 

You have been there in each goodbye 

you are never truly gone 

you loom over every friendship made 

every love I've had 

every person I've met 

Oh Solitude you  always remind me

I might have left you but you will never leave me....

the opening line 'Oh Solitude why are we together again' struck a chord deep down. yes, we are not so different you and me. ad if geography didn't separate us, id imagine we'd be meeting at the pub every night. i would like that. alas, i am here alone and virtually friendless learnign the lessons my solitude is trying to teac me. well, i hope these little comments bring a bit of light into your world, just as your writing brings a little bit of light into mine. as charles bukowski said 'it may not be much light, but it sure beats the darkness.'

You are a good man Ern, I apperciate all your comments, I would deff hang out with you, what an odd time in history all of us are taking part in, the world has gotten smaller yet people I can see seem so far away. Hopefully this valley will end and happiness will return. I hate feeling like this all the time, the pain hurts alot, it will get better I am sure, it's just waiting it out that is so diff.
