Afternoon tomfooleryA Poem by Dave W.What some curse can bless othersRain wash over me serenade and sooth hypnotize now heavy eyes I'll not curse you cleanse me as you do the air I embrace the deluge symphony drips on my glasses and soaked to the bone "Do I want an umbrella?" someone asks "No" smiling I reply I will not be robbed of this sensory experience splash and stomp spin and twirl nothing like the smell of ozone fragrant air drenched I dance in new born pools afternoon tomfoolery tears lost in a multitude of drops. © 2025 Dave W.Author's Note
