i am doing ok. i've been exercising a lot, which has actually taken time from my reading, but i feel a lot better.

I can so relate to this. For me it was my dad so the perspective is a little different. I see him in myself and my brother so the concept is still pretty identical. Sometimes I feel like he’s not even really gone because I know what he would say or do in a situation (and typically one of us ends up still doing whatever it is).
This was a beautiful tribute to someone lost and the depth of your love for them shines through.
