Filled to emptyA Poem by Dave W.Gray is my color, charcoal hues, smudged fingers, dirty clothes.......Full from emptiness as a heart that bloodlessly beats or lungs bereft of breath circumspect I look to an overcast horizon for dawn's light not even a ray of hope clouds continue on and on monochromatic gray that oppresses that weighs down the worm is a caterpillar without hope of change this day this week this month this year still the same will there come a savior to pull me from the depths below I am still waiting will the heart heal from scars of the past I am still waiting will the storm subside I am still waiting.....I call out, echo replies
silence......... © 2025 Dave W.Author's Note
