Filled to empty

Filled to empty

A Poem by Dave W.
"

Gray is my color, charcoal hues, smudged fingers, dirty clothes.......

"

Full from emptiness

as a heart that bloodlessly beats

 or lungs bereft of breath

circumspect I look to an

overcast horizon for dawn's light

not even a ray of hope

clouds continue on and on

 monochromatic gray that oppresses

that weighs down

the worm is a caterpillar

without hope of change

this day

this week

this month

this year

still the same

will there come a savior to pull me from the depths below

I am still waiting

will the heart heal from scars of the past

I am still waiting

will the storm subside

I am still waiting.....I call out, echo replies silence.........

Thank you, I have kind of been walking in a very low place for some time.
Those clouds weigh heavy. Scars from the past can take a long time to heal. I feel a desperate situation here of wanting to be rescued. Wanting change , but no glimmer of light. A difficult situation for anyone to be in.
