Evening Relections

Reflecting on the good things of life can help ease the pain.......

In the still of night

Luna sees her reflection

in placid waters

wind caresses

the evergreen’s glory

woodland creatures settle in

for an evening's repose

I take this in

creations serenity

away from neon distractions

away from toils and troubles

I fashioned for myself

this moment is a salve for the soul

waves of melancholy joy

wash along the shores of my mind

what a gift it is to make peace with the past

no longer the prisoner to passion

with clarity I see glory all around

the maker's "I love you" in natures majesty

I needed this break from me

to get away from a self-centered reality

to see a world bigger

than just the end of my nose

beyond imagination

a world of magic

a world of miracles

beyond the pain of

self-inflicted

bullet holes to the feet

I had the key all along

thankfulness is the most powerful spell

one can cast......

Beautiful Poet

The internet sailed this poem through space and time until it softly touched down at my feet. For some unknown insane reason, you have been on my mind. I hope this is your salvation from those icy fingers that bind you. Do you believe in a higher power? Well, mine says "Life more abundantly I give to you." Nothing or no one should steal that from you. Whomever loves you wants you to be happy. If not, they are not a good spirit but one who is sent to destroy you.
