To drink your lips

my desire cries

lost and wandering heart

a hunger from within

complete me

in love’s embrace

a force from eons past

now moves my heart

what is your mind

what is your taste

what is your spirit

every part of you I need

every part of me longs

for your touch

in dreams we meet

a lifetime spent through the night

I am drunk on you

I have inhaled you

I am addicted to you

I would this spell take us

into eternities breast

that the cosmos be ours to explore

oh, that this fantasy take shape

that imaginations form

lay beside me tonight

there is no rest for my spirit

while you're away

constantly my mind dwells

in your mountains

I swim in your rivers

and lap your waters

come to me my love

the evening is at hand

there is a chill in my bed

only you can warm

my love these arms

are lonely for you

patiently I wait

in quiet I long

in hope I wish

in love I burn

Dave W., I delight in your writings! They always seem to be speaking directly to the reader! I love how the crypticism is all consuming, each line seems to be toward one individual, however, reading thoroughly, one can see the possibilities could extend to anyone and everyone. My sister is a bit naive and, really, too outspoken regarding private affairs of the heart.
As for my opinion, your writing is clever and multi faceted. Great job!
