Unconcious desires

Unconcious desires

A Poem by Dave W.
"

The Dalai Lama walks into a pizzeria and says 'Can you make me one with everything?"......

"
 I neither desire
the highs nor the lows
or the elation of a first kiss,

temptation to dissolve
captivates my heart
it is my longing and wish.

Heaven and Hell
having no claim to me,
I melt into the aether of existence.

Love has vexed my soul,
those close have driven the dagger so deep.

I want to walk in unconscious thought
as a kind of forever sleep.

Please don't get me wrong
in these words of rhyme,

mistaking it as a plea for help
or depressions cry,

in my understanding
I grasp the fact
death is never the answer,

I have to continue
the race I run.

Life has a weight all its own
as I wait for the
days final conclusion.

I've had to cease investigation
into the question of "Why?",
I lean on ancient wisdom's words
"It is what it is".

Some things just happen seemingly random,
some things are an orchestration of divine doings,
some are just the machinations of bitter minds,

all this rambling to say,
existence is painful and
I am fatigued with being its punching bag.......

Take heart, you aren't the only punching bag. Just ask those poor devils in Gaza.

You should watch a movie called Stalker by Andrei Tarkovsky. It's best to read about and spoil the movie before you watch it... it's in Russian and Tarkovsky is a pain in the a*s to understand. But the cinematography is incredible (kinda for disturbing real life reasons) and if you know what you are getting into it's one of the best psychological sci fi movies ever made. It deals very well with the question... what are our true intentions? Can we ever truly confront our unconscious desires? Probably not... our true animal inside might me too terrifying even under the best of circumstances.

Everyone is having ups and downs, I like to keep balancing both and is not that every time you keep yourself happy, you need to see ourselves when we are sad too. That makes you feel how better you are making your life and you will know importance of people around and happiness that comes .
