Its amazing what a little effort can do to help

Randomly acted upon,
love's manifestation.

Stretched hands reach,
another pulled from the void.

Moments of time sacrificed,
what does it cost to be nice,
the price would surprise.

A little investment in another,
simple gestures boldly claiming
someone who cares.

What does it cost to give an ear,
to give a heart that listens,
the price would surprise.

Payments made of spirit and mind,
followed by actions closely behind.

Not much has to be given,
for those starved of connection.

A drop of kindness
is a salve
to a mind in distress.

As someone who doesn't know his limerick from his rhyming couplet, I think your work is as good as any and better than most.
