Eyes- McCullen's Wish

Poem based on the heroine of upcoming book.

In the eyes of my children I am a hero-

Unable to do one thing wrong

In the eyes of my son I am the only one

The one who knows how to fix anything

In the eyes of my daughter I am an idol-

The one she’d give everything to be

In the eyes of my husband I am a lover-

The one who would never go astray

In the eyes of my the Father I am forgiven-

For every sin that I have committed

But in my eyes I am misunderstood-

Unable to live up to what they believe

If only I could have one wish granted-

I’d wish for them to see the real me.
