I will be working on a personal project this week (Sep 9 - Sep 13, 2013), a program to clean up raw HTML coding. I have noticed some of my writing does not appear well in the Opera Internet Browser and I am going to write a program that hopefully will once and for all end malformed HTML commands created by standard WYSIWYG editors, including Writer Cafe's own internal editor.

I had to do this with Xanga but I really didn't make it THOROUGH. This one will be and may take several days to write.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) I will add a new post for the Dream Diary and start the first chapter of the new short-story, there will be 14-chapters to it altogether. I will also get some laundry done.

Wednesday as I normally do, I will see my doctor and will be gone for most of the day.

I am also seeing Rose this Saturday for her Birthday so your Saturday Surprise will be posted on a Friday instead and I will be completely out of pocket for this week's Saturday and Sunday.

Update Sep 10 2013

And a day later and I realized something. Many MANY pages on the Internet have malformed HTML, not just mine. So - what to do ?

The biggest confusion I was running into last night was in reading the raw HTML on some of my pages and I was seeing the same code repeated over and over again.

And I have come to the conclusion, unless HTML cleans up ALL of their original code, there is no way I can make my 'optimizer' not where it works correctly anyways.

There are too many instances of a font, size, and definition being dropped in the event of a carriage return, so - ultimately it =IS= needed to reiterate the same code over and over again. Wow.

I can go around this but it would mean I would have to keep track of every single carriage-return instance and then insert a de-direct (undirect ?) command so it appears properly.

I also came across a website that optimizes and cleans up the 'glaring' errors in my HTML but not the ones I was interested in. I'm hoping it will fix it so Opera will display my pages properly. If not, it's not alone. I have found Opera does not display many other people's pages correctly either.

It's funny how all these pages can have so many errors in them when people are just using Writer Cafe's own internal editor for many of their works.

And I know what you are saying. "David, if it's not broke, don't fix it !"

Yes, well - I'm the sort of person that says, if it's not broke HOW can get it broke so we can prevent it from doing so in the future, hmm ?

Anyways, that's fine. I'll catch up on some post replies, Reader Requests, and delinquent private messages, but then also work on the new novel today. If I have time I'll start to clean-up my writings starting with my first
Poem.

I finally decided I guess it's not a short story after all with as many chapters and pages that are in the draft, so that's fine. Hope to see you there.
