Well I've passed the big four oh and am rapidly reaching the five ! What advice of my own can I offer for the younger generation ?
1. Life is short, live it the fullest. Go to parties and carnivals, meet new people, make new friends. Never turn down a Birthday party no matter how old you are. Life is precious - celebrate it.
2. I believe 35% of the stuff you buy in this world when you are younger, you won't care about later when you are older.
3. There is no shame in holding hands or giving or receiving hugs. This includes relatives and family members.
4. Grab and download the free stuff off the Internet TODAY, there's a good chance it will be gone or try to charge money for it tomorrow.
5. Take many MANY photos of where you go, what you do, and with whom. This includes parties, get-togethers, holidays, and themed events. Some of the best gifts you can give your older family and relatives are photos and videos of you having a good time.
6. Don't let preachers or religion bog you down in rules and beliefs, listen to your HEART and your HEAD. We are innately good if we give ourselves the chance to be.
7. If there is something in the world you can't own or understand, it might not be worth knowing or worrying about.
8. There is no shame in sleeping with Teddy Bears at any age. Or dolls or other stuffed animals for that matter.
9. Give gifts from the heart, not from the wallet. Your family and friends will always place a greater value on gifts that you hand-made yourself rather than something you or anyone else can buy in a store.
10. Treasure your parents, every waking moment with them, because you =WILL= miss them when they are gone ...

I was telling her about some of the things you can do when you're older and she said, "I wish I was grupped."
"Grown up ?" I asked her.
She nodded.
I then said, "Well, when you get to be my age, there's a good chance you'd give anything just - to be - the age you are now."
She smiled and said, "Never."
She's a great kid, Carlos' granddaughter. And - her and a buncha other friends, we're all having a party this Saturday at Rainforest Cafe.
