Crystal Story II is a turn-based RPG that follows the story of a young Dragon on his quest to defeat an evil witch. He must seek allies to aid him on his journey and save the world from the oncoming invasion.

David's Dibs:

This is a RPG that uses both the mouse and keyboard. While you can use solely the mouse, the keyboard shortcuts are there to help you.

You start out with =NO= healing potions or abilities to recover your HITS so you should take it easy in combat until you find your first companion as they will help tremendously in the battles to follow.

Your current location is also, "Small Forest." This is a good place to explore and fight a few monsters. Click the YELLOW ENTER button to enter this location.

The swirling mist will always exit you back to the main outside map.

Are you in combat ? You must either use the mouse to click your mode of attack each time or press from the keyboard the digits 1, 2, or 3. Then you can press a digit associated with your opponent.

If there is only one, then it will just be the [1] key. In fact, there are many parts of the game where you can navigate it using just the keyboard, but not all of it. Some areas absolutely require the mouse to make your selections.

Fight on for a bit. Once you've completed this area, you will return to the main outside map and can now select a new location to enter and the story will unfold.

Note, this game like most flash programs may show you logos before the game begins. Unless you want to pop-up new company pages in your browser, be patient before clicking.

As the game loads, you are greeted with a player sliding down an icy slope. Click on the picture and use the LEFT and RIGHT arrow keys to avoid hitting the trees. Your score and ability do not affect the main game to follow.

Then click the YELLOW PLAY button when it appears at the bottom-right-hand corner of the screen.

Wait until the YELLOW buttons of both NEW GAME and LOAD GAME appear. Select either and you are in the game !
