I Love You, Atoli

“I want you to look at me. Nobody ever looks at me.” The words repeated through his head. The boy had never heard anything like that before. Was that really how someone could feel? What happened in that person’s life to make them even something like those words? He sat on the side of the street. He was starting to feel tired; he closed his eyes, and was starting to drift. He felt someone poke him in the ribs. He felt a little irritation because he wanted to sit back and relax, but no someone wanted to bother him. He opened his red eyes, looked up with irritation, but when he saw who it was his eyes softened. In front of him stood a girl with blonde hair, brown eyes, and she was wearing her green dress.

                “Haseo, Haseo, do you want to go to on a secret mission with me! We never got to go,” she said in an excited voice. Haseo couldn’t help, but smile the girl was always enthusiastic. Haseo stood up, dusted off his outfit, and decided he was going to do something nice for her.

                “Sure why not, Atoli? We never did get to go last time, right? Alkaid did  ruin that, but didn’t you have fun?” Haseo asked in a nice tone.

                “Yeah, you’re right, but I still want to go on one! I think it would be fun, please?,” she said.

                “What area would you like to go to?” Haseo asked.

                Atoli looked like she was deep in thought. She didn’t want to choose a stupid area. Last time she did Haseo ended up blowing up. She wanted something that will help them level up. She thought about doing a symbol fragment area, but she didn’t know if that would be a good idea. Atoli knew that he liked the boss monster quests.  They were level eighty so she decided to pick a level eighty-four area. That would help them again experience points. She decided to pick one of those, but what area words did she want to choose? She was thinking too hard. Haseo could see that.

                “How about Θ Submissive Fallen Sympathy?” Atoli asked. Haseo nodded and walked away to get prepared for the mission. He needed to make sure that he had Sprite Drops and Fairy Drops. He needed them so that he could give to Atoli because she used a lot of spell points, but she did heal him when she needed too. He was glad that she was there for him when he lost life in the fights with the monsters.

                Haseo invited Atoli into his party and they were off. As soon as they got to the field there were a couple of monsters that they needed to fight. Haseo was the main fighter on that team. Haseo decided that he was going to use his dual swords. They fought off enemy parties before Atoli stopped in the middle of the field. Haseo looked back at her and sighed. This was what happened when they went on their first mission together, but they were talking about Moon Tree. The second time they talked about nature, but Haseo wanted to get her to fight in the arena with him. When he looks back at that moment he feels like a jerk.

                “Haseo, aren’t the flowers wonderful to look at?” Atoli said with a big smile on her face. Haseo didn’t want to say the wrong thing like he did last time. He was a complete idiot last time. He ruined the mood being so sour.

                “They look nice, Atoli,” Haseo said with a genuine smile. He did notice how the flowers were blooming this time. He wanted to make Atoli feel special. They had both been through a lot with each other in the past couple of months.

                “I think we should still always stop and appreciate the flowers every now in then. I have always liked flowers and birds, but you already know that,” Atoli said walking ahead of him now. She saw something else that had caught her interest. Haseo always question what was going on through her mind when they were hanging out together.

                “Haseo, come on hurry up!” She said with excitement. Haseo walked over to where she was. She was looking up at the sunset in the field that they were in. Haseo noticed how beautiful she looked in the sunset.

                “What am I thinking?!” Haseo said out loud by accident.

                “Huh? What’s wrong, Haseo?” Atoli said. Haseo sweat dropped and looked down at the ground. He couldn’t tell Atoli what he was thinking about. I mean those were his true feelings now. He was starting to feel weird around her. Every time he was near her he could feel his heart beat more out of his chest.

                “Nothing, I’m fine, Atoli,” he said. They walked off towards the bridge where they were going to fight again. Atoli barely said anything to him while they looked at the sky. She was normally talked to him, but for some reason she was being quiet. Haseo attacked an enemy party in front of them on the bridge. The monster was starting to attack Atoli. Haseo couldn’t see the girl that was healing him get hurt. He did Twin Moons with the broad sword since the monster had armor. Atoli did heal him with her Repth since Haseo didn’t lose too much life.  

                “Thank you for protecting me, Haseo,” Atoli said holding her hands to her chest. That was normal for her to do though. Haseo blushed a little bit when she thanked him. He knows that she fights a little bit, but it’s not normal for her to do so.

                “Y-You’re welcome,” Haseo said still blushing a little bit. Atoli noticed that he went red.

                “Haseo, are you feeling well?” Atoli asked.

                “Yes, I’m fine,” he said with a smile. They went on in the field. Haseo couldn’t wait until they got to the boss monster. He was starting to feel more awkward around her. He could feel his heart beating fast when she put her hand on his head. He backed away as far as he could and fell backwards.

                “Hehe, are you okay?” she asked while giggling.               

                “Yes, yes I am. Let’s please just get on with fighting monsters,” he said embarrassed and annoyed.

                They got to the boss monster. They beat it in about fifteen minutes because Atoli kept dying. Haseo was glad that he packed Revival Medicine. When they finished Haseo and Atoli went to a tree and kicked it. Chim Chims fell out of the tree. Haseo got some of spheres he needed for Chim doors.

                “Haseo, good job today. We did great!” Atoli said. Haseo couldn’t control his feelings anymore. He grabbed Atoli by the shoulders and kissed her passionately. After the kiss Atoli looked at him in shock.

                “I love you, Atoli, I’m sorry about all the stuff I have done to you and said over the last few months,” Haseo said.

                Atoli had tears fallen down her cheeks. She was so happy. Haseo didn’t know what to do. He just hugged her.

                “I love you too,” Atoli said and they kissed again.

This was interesting, like people living in a video game. It could use some minor editing work in some parts. I'm also not used to reading this style of writing. Was a cool story though, and a neat concept. Good work Angie.
