DTI- Chapter 1

Chapter 1

Amaya was sitting next to the window of the coffee shop. It was her favorite one in town. She was waiting for someone that was really important to her to come. “What's taking him so long? He was supposed to meet me here ten minutes ago?”

A waiter came over to her table to see if she wanted to order anything. She just shook her head. She didn't want to order anything until Ichigo got there. Amaya always waited for long periods of time before Ichigo arrived without ordering anything. She did know what he would want, but she didn't want to order without him because his coffee would get cold.

She saw the sky becoming dark even though it was only five o'clock. It was winter time after all. She brought her knees up to her chest still wondering where he was. She sent him a text five minutes ago. She was about to send him another one when the door opened. In stepped a guy with orange hair, a white shirt, and black jeans on. Amaya smiled and jumped up from the table. She had the biggest smile on her face.

“Hey Ama...” Ichigo tried to get out, but he was interrupted because she punched him in the face. He flew back towards the wall. Amaya pouted and walked back over to her table. The people in the restaurant stared at her. They were impressed that she was strong enough to knock him out. Ichigo got up from the floor. He sighed and looked at Amaya.

“About time you got here,” she said to him. Amaya called her waiter over and ordered herself a french vanilla coffee with french vanilla creamer. Ichigo ordered as well and got the same exact thing. Amaya looked out of the window again.

“I was trying to apologize before you punched me in the face. I was fighting a hollow that appeared in town earlier. There was more than one though. Rukia went to fight the other one,” Ichigo explained.

“You seem to spend a lot more time with her then you do with me,” Amaya said tears starting to form in her eyes. Ichigo noticed that and pulled her into his arms. Amaya knew that she was his team member, but it bothered her that she got to see Ichigo more than she did.

“Honey, you know nothing is going on between us. I love you and I don't want her. I want you,” Ichigo said with a smile on his face. Amaya smiled, but she still felt bad that she didn't get to see him as much. Amaya also was able to see hollows, but she never shared that with Ichigo. She also never shared that she was a soul reaper. Her swords name was Debabou. When she used her bankai her swords name would be Kashou Debabou.

Ichigo kissed her on the cheek. She just smiled was still down about something. Ichigo could tell, but he knew not to push her. She was scary when she was pushed. Ichigo learned that the hard way.

Amaya looked over at the window again. She could see a hollow coming. She sighed and then she stood up which surprised Ichigo.

“Ichigo, there is a hollow outside,” she told him. Ichigo looked at her in shock and he saw that one was chasing a little girl that he knew. Ichigo turned into his soul reaper form. Amaya caught his body when he fell. The people in the coffee shop looked over at the two of them. They stared in wonderment as Ichigo fell over.

“Is he okay, ma'am,” the waiter that was serving them came over.

“He's fine. I will take him home,” she said with no hint of worry in her eyes. Amaya picked up his unconscious body. She hated when he had to fight the hollow. Amaya has been around him enough to know when he became a soul reaper.

Amaya opened the door to the coffee shop. Rukia bumped into her when she was walking towards Ichigo's house. Amaya was not that happy to see her. She hated her guts.Kon was with her as well. Amaya stuck her hand down his throat and took out the mod soul. She made Ichigo swallow the mod soul. Kon was now in Ichigo's body so no one would know the difference between them. “Where is Ichigo? I got a call that a hollow was attacking.”

“He's fighting the hollow already. He will be done in a second,” Amaya said to Rukia in a calm voice. Rukia sighed and ran off to the fight. By the time she had got their Ichigo was done with the hollow. He put Zangetsu on his back again. He sighed when he was done. “Hey guys.”

“Hey, you were pretty quick to finish off that hollow. How did you know that it was there? I mean I didn't get the call nor could I sense it. Were you able to?” Rukia asked her. Ichigo shook his head. He wasn't able to sense the hollow. Amaya had told him that there was a hollow. Ichigo looked around, but couldn't see his girlfriend.

“Have you seen Amaya?” Ichigo asked.

“I just saw her walking back towards your house. I was thinking that she was walking your body back, but she ran into me. She didn't look to happy to see me.”

“I knew that she wouldn't be happy to see her. I wonder where she is,” Ichigo thought to herself. He knew that Amaya wasn't being herself anyway.

“I have to go catch up to her. I'll see you later,” Ichigo said.

Amaya was already at her home when Ichigo was on his way. Amaya was about to unlock her door when a hand grabbed her from behind. She tried to scream, but the other hand grabbed her mouth. In an instant they were gone.
