Love in Their Hearts Episode 1A Screenplay by Angie Diane♥♥Episode one of a show I started.Love in Their Heart Episode 1 The Beginning Narrator: A girl was walking around a parking lot waiting for her boyfriend to get out of the school. She looked at him when he walked out. He had his key in his hands and he unlocked the car. She glared at him from where he stood. He laughed at the look on her face. Johnny (laughing): Why are you looking at me like that? Amy: You are late again. Johnny: Sorry I was talking to my friends. I forgot about you. Amy: Ugh you forgot about me again. Johnny: Sorry it won't happen again I promise. Amy: Okay take me home okay? Johnny: Okay. Narrator: They got into the car and Johnny drove off. Johnny is eighteen and he is tall with short light brown hair. Amy is seventeen and she is four inches shorter then Johnny. She has long, curly dark brown hair. Amy: Anyway how was school today? Johnny: I guess it was okay. Amy: You guess? Johnny: Yeah it was pretty boring to start out with. Amy: Isn't school always boring in the beginning? Johnny: Yeah since I have science first period. Amy: I have algebra in the morning. I don't find that boring just easy. Johnny: Good for you. Amy (sarcastically): Thanks. Johnny: You're welcome. Narrator: Johnny stopped in front of Amy's house. She got out and he followed her inside. He was always welcomed into the house because his mother or father kicks him out when they are angry. Amy: Hi Mom. Carolina: Hey honey, how was school today? Amy: Good as usual. Carmen: Is Johnny here? Amy: Yes, he is here. His father kicked him out again. Carolina: What happened this time? Amy: He doesn't know his father just flipped out on him. His father's job might just be him out. I don't think his father's job is really that good. Carolina: Yes, I think it is his job. I'll call his parents later if he wants me to. Amy: That would be wonderful if you could do that, Mom. Narrator: Johnny walked into the room. He was always hungry as it was. Carolina: Hi Johnny, how are you? Johnny: I'm good, Mrs. Collins, and how are you? Carolina: I'm good. Johnny: That's good well I'm going to start my homework. Amy: I will too since dinner isn't for a couple of hours. What are we having today? Carolina: We are having meat loaf for dinner one of your favorites. Amy: Yum can't wait. Let's go do homework now. Narrator: They walked into the living room and they sat at the table that had at least four chairs. Amy Collins is expecting little brother or sister because her mother is pregnant. In twenty minutes they both finished their homework. Amy: What do you want to do, Johnny? Johnny: Let's go to the park and take a nice walk. Amy: Sure we can do that until dinner if you want. Johnny: Sure. Amy: Hold on let me tell my Mom first before we leave. Johnny: Okay then. Amy: Mom, we are going out for a little while we will be back before dinner. Carolina: Okay. Narrator: Without another word from Amy's Mom they left to go to the park. Amy: What's on your mind, Johnny? Johnny: Nothing really, why? Amy: It's just that you are so quiet today. I was worried about you in school. Johnny: You mean at lunch when I completely ignored you? Amy: Yes, I was scared you were going to break up with me. Johnny: Why would you think that? I love you more then anything Amy Marie Collins. Amy (sarcastically): Oh yes, scream my name out to the whole world. Johnny: I'll do that. Amy: I was being sarcastic. Johnny: I know. Amy: I wonder what was up with your Dad. Is he stressed because of his job? Johnny: I don't know I don't talk about him about his job. When I ask he says 'that's none of your concern'. I don't think my Dad likes talking to me too much about anything. Amy: That kind of makes it kind of hard to open up to him then. Johnny: Yes, when I try to open up to him he doesn't really listen to what I'm saying. Amy: That's not right. Why didn't you tell me any of this before this? Johnny: I didn't really want to talk about it before it's easy to talk to you though. I mean I like talking to my friends about my problems since they are guys. Amy (hurt): You're saying you don't like opening up to your girlfriend that much. Johnny: I wasn't really implying that where did you get that idea from? Amy: I way you were making it sound. Johnny: I'm sorry, Amy. Amy: I understand. Narrator: Amy walked away from Johnny for a moment. Johnny: Baby, I'm sorry. Amy: That's alright I just need to be alone for a few minutes. Johnny: Alright I will be over there then. Amy: Okay. Narrator: Amy walked over to where Johnny was after a few minutes of being alone. Amy: Sorry I had to be alone for a few minutes. Johnny: That's alright let's just hang for a little bit longer. Amy: Yeah since we have to be back in a little while. Narrator: Amy looked kind of sick in Johnny's eyes. Johnny: Are you okay? Amy: Yes, why? Johnny: You look like you have a fever to me. Amy: Oh. Johnny: We should go now. Amy: Yes, my Mom should be done with dinner now. Narrator: They walked in the house and Amy went in the kitchen. She saw her mother getting the table ready. Amy: I'll set the table, Mom. You just get the dinner out of the oven. Carolina (smiling): Alright then, honey. Narrator: Amy set the table for her mother. She got out the drinks they had in the house. They had juice and a lot of water. Her mother didn't want any alcohol in the house. She didn't want to drink while she was pregnant. She asked her husband not to buy drinks. Her husband walked through the door as dinner was on the table. Carolina: Hey honey, how was your day at work? Adam: I had a good day at work. I couldn't wait to come to see wife though. Narrator: They kissed a few times. Amy and Johnny couldn't take it any longer. Amy: Mom and Dad can you stop please? Adam: Sure honey how was your day? Amy: It was good. Johnny: Hi Mr. Collins. Adam (smiling): Hi Johnny. How are you? Johnny: I'm good Mr. C. Adam: That's good. Your parents kicked you out again? Johnny: Yes, sir. Adam: I'm wondering if they really wanted a child, Amy: I don't think they did. Johnny: Yes, I'm wondering the same thing. Amy: Let's talk about something else. Carolina: Yes, this conversation is getting me very angry. You know I don't like getting angry. Adam: Yes, we know you don't like getting angry. Amy: Or stressed. Johnny: Or sad either. Carolina: That brings the worst in me. Amy: We know, Mom. Carolina: Did you two have fun at the park? Johnny: Yes, we sat there and talked and then came back home for dinner. I love your cooking, Mrs. Collins. Yours is way better then my Mom's who doesn't really cook for me. She doesn't cook for my Dad either. She will cook for us sometimes because she isn't busy with her job. Carolina: That's just a shame not cooking for your family. That is pretty wrong as it is. I think she should quit her job and just act like a Mom. She should protect her son not ignore him like he isn't human. Amy: Yes, Johnny's parents do seem to neglect him. I mean they yell at him all the time. They kick him out of the house. That isn't a great thing to experience in life. Johnny: You know Amy; you are really cute when you're like this. Narrator: Amy blushes and he laughs at her reaction. Johnny: Alright I will be right back. I have to get a pair of clothes. Amy: I'll go with you. Adam: Okay you'll be back later. Johnny: I'm not staying in my house that long, Mr. Collins. We will be back in ten to fifteen minutes. Adam: Alright we'll be waiting. Carolina: Amy when you get back you need to take a shower. Amy: I know that, Mom. Adam: Honey, I think you are embarrassing her. Amy: Yes, she is embarrassing me. Carolina: Sorry, honey. Johnny: Are you ready to go? Amy: Yes. Johnny: Be back soon. Narrator: Amy and Johnny left in Johnny's car. He pulled up in front of his house five minutes later. He went up to his room without his parents seeing him. Amy was behind him. He got a few things. His father saw his light on and walked into his room. Kevin (yelling): What are you doing here? Johnny: I am getting some things. Kevin (calms down): Well hurry up and leave. Johnny: Dad, you aren't being fair to me. Amy: Please sir, can you please stop fight Johnny? Kevin: Stay out of this girl. Johnny: Don't talk to Amy like that. Kevin: Don't tell me what to do boy. Johnny: I'm leaving come on, Amy. Amy: Yes, let's hurry. Johnny: Yeah. Narrator: They left getting stuff of Johnny's. Johnny was hopping mad. He was really upset about what happened a few seconds ago. Amy: Johnny, are you okay? Johnny (yells): Do you really think I'm okay, Amy? Amy (hurt): No, not really. Johnny: Amy, I'm sorry. Amy: You don't have to apologize to me. Johnny: Yes, I do have to apologize to you. Amy: I understand you're really mad right now. Johnny: It doesn't mean I should take my anger out on you. Amy: It's alright I don't mind. Johnny: I'm still sorry about this, Amy. Amy: It's okay. Narrator: Five seconds later Amy got out of the car and walked into her house. Johnny was behind her with a bag filled with five pairs of clothes in it. He didn't know how long he was really going to be at Amy's house. Amy: Alright I'll be downstairs in a little bit. Johnny: Alright I'll be waiting for you to get my bed ready. Amy: I'll just do that now. Narrator: Amy put a sheet on the couch with a blanket. Johnny sat on the couch bed and just relaxed. Amy went upstairs and went into the bathroom to get in the shower. She got out and went in her bedroom. She put on a tank and sweatpants. She walked downstairs and she went into the living room. Her father was in the living room as well. Adam: Hey Johnny told me what happened when you went to his house. Amy: Oh I wonder if Mom is going to talk to his parents. She said she would if you want her too, Johnny. Johnny: Sure she can do what she wants she is the adult. Adam: You're mother isn't feeling well right now. Amy: You know it probably is the baby kicking, Dad. Adam: You could be right about that. Amy: Of course I mean I am a woman. I mean Mother and I have connection better then you know. Johnny: You and your mother have a connection? Amy: Yes, we are the same gender don't forget. Johnny: True. Amy: Well I'm going to do something. Narrator: Amy walked up stairs to her parent's bedroom. Amy: Hey Mom, are you okay in there? Carolina: Yes, I'm fine. Amy: The baby is kicking quite a lot right now? Carolina: Oh yes the baby is kicking quite a lot right now. Amy: Did you ever find out the sex was? Carolina: Yes, I found out today and I called your father and told him. Amy: Is it a boy or girl? Carolina: You are going to have a little brother. Amy: That's so cool I wanted a little brother. Carolina: I know. Amy: I'm very excited about this, Mom. I have to go tell Johnny. Narrator: Amy ran down the stairs because she was so excited. Amy: Johnny! Johnny: Yes, you look hyper. Amy: I am so excited I'm having a little brother. Johnny: I am so happy for you. Adam: So your mother finally told you. Amy: Yes, I am so happy. Adam: It seems you always wanted a brother now you are having one. Amy: Yes, I can't wait for the next four months for Mom to have the baby. Adam: You are crazy sweetheart. Amy: Thanks Daddy. Adam: You're very welcome and I'm going to bed now. You two don't stay up late. Amy: We know Daddy it is a school night after all and I don't want to be tired because I stayed up to late. Adam: That's a good girl good night. Johnny and Amy: Good night. Narrator: Amy's dad left and went upstairs to his bedroom. Amy: Now we need to talk. Johnny: About what, sweetie? Amy: About a lot of things, honey. Johnny: Alright then shoot. Amy: Well you know the problems with your family? Johnny: Yeah. Amy: Well we are going to change that. Johnny: How are you going to do that? Amy: We are going to call them now we are going to pull a prank on them to see if they really don't want you. Johnny: You know that's never going to work, Amy. Amy: I'm trying it no matter what you say Jonathon. Amy: Fine we do it then Amy. Narrator: Amy dialed Johnny's number and his father answered the phone. Amy: Hello this is Mrs. Donnelly the school counselor. Your son has come to my office and told me you have neglected and kicked him out of the house. Kevin: It's true I do that to my son. Amy: How would you feel if you were treated like that? Kevin: I would feel horrible about the whole situation. Amy: How do you think your son feels about it? Kevin: I think he feels horrible about the situation. Amy: I think you should not neglect him any farther or we will have him sent to a boy's home. Do I make myself clear? Kevin: Yes you do. Narrator: Johnny's Dad hung up the phone. Amy was laughing at what she just done. Johnny was smiling because he heard every word his father said to Amy. She had him on speaker. At the Russell house Johnny's father was sitting at the table thinking. Kevin: Honey, do you think we neglect our son? Emily: No, why? Kevin: We just received a call for the school counselor saying that Johnny feels neglected. Emily: What else did they say? Kevin: They said they will put him in a boy's home if we continue to neglect him. Emily: That's not good maybe we should stop. Kevin: I think we should because I don't want my child to be taken away. Kevin: He said he'll come tomorrow. Emily: Alright. Kevin: What are we going to say tomorrow? Emily: We should apologize for neglecting him the way we do. Kevin: True. Emily: Yes, I hope he will come tomorrow. Kevin: I believe he will. Narrator: Amy and Johnny are talking. Johnny: My parents called asking me to come home. Amy: Oh that is great. Johnny: Though I turned them down. Amy: Johnny, you should go down there. Johnny: I told them tomorrow. Amy: You should have just gone I would go with you. Johnny: I guess he believed I was really going to be taken away. Amy: Yes, Johnny I'm sorry. Johnny: That's alright I think. Amy: You think. Johnny (laughs): Alright guess that is better. Amy: You are ridiculous you know that? Johnny: Oh yeah I know. Amy (laughs): You are a little crazy. Johnny: Thank you. Amy: You're going tomorrow right? Johnny (sighs): Yes, I'm going tomorrow.
