....if you have been talking to me lately you know who this is about.

You made me believe you were the only one for me.
You made me believe that you actually cared about me.
You made me believe that you would protect me from harm.
You made me believe that you loved me.
You made me believe that you never hated me.
You made me believe that you were the only person in my life.
You made me believe you could be there for me.
Thanks for all the lies because I believed them.

Wow... I can surely relate to this in many ways. This unexpectedly emotional. Very good poem. Nice and straight to the point.

Lies are horrible, especially from someone you love and thinks loves you. They hurt, and it's hard to trust again. You'll find someone that won't lie to you, but this was a great vent poem on your anger. Your sadness is so raw in the lines, no rhyming or anything makes that more clear.
