Let Me Drown

Let Me Drown

A Poem by Angie Diane♥♥

Let me drown,
For I want to.
I lost you to the sparkling ocean.
We were both on the boat before it started sinking.
I told you I was afraid to go on boats.
You persisted that we go.
You made me promise if something happened I wouldn't go with you.
You want me to live, but I want to drown.
Maybe not in the ocean,
But in my own back yard.
In the pool that I float in.
Let me drown.
For I want to.
Since I lost you to the ocean.
Please let me go down.
So let me drown.

You bring me near tears mourning those I have lost. This poem speaks volumes in short lines and I think it is beautifully written. You've got talent.

A ballad... A deep meaning.
I read it twice, its like confusion or the fear of loss or losing some one. I think...
Dis was sumthn different. :-)
