The End-Chapter 2

Chapter 2

    "Tim, come over here," Angela said to her brother's new friend. He had tripped over and he was now crying. He walked over to her and clung to her leg. She picked him up and she sat him on her knees. He calmed down a little when he was on her lap. She kissed him on the cheek and got a band-aid. She put it on his knee. Adrian was sitting on the ground playing with a few toys. The five older kids found things they needed to survive. There was a lot of food in the building. Someone had been preparing them for this.
    Angela had found seven bedrooms and she shared her room with her brother and friend.  Adrian wouldn't have went to sleep without his sister. Tim wasn't afraid of her anymore and would cling to her too. The boys were still very hyper active. She let them sleep with her because she didn't want Adrian to cry or Tim either.
    "Mommy, I want you to hold me," Adrian said. Angela sighed because Adrian has been getting jealous of Tim.
    "Come here," she said. She put Tim on the ground and held Adrian. Adrian dug his head into her chest. She was getting tired of the two of them competing with each other. Tim started playing with the toys to keep himself entertained. Adrian looked like he needed a nap and he did. He fell asleep in Angela's arms. She put him down on her bed and picked Tim up. She wanted him to take a nap as well because he needed it. He was three as well so he needed one.
    When he fell asleep she put him on the bed and left the room because she didn't want to wake up the sleeping boys. She was standing outside the room when one of the guys walked up to her.
    "What do you want," she asked him.
    "I just wanted to talk to you. You haven't talked to any of us yet. I just want to get to know who you are," said one of the guys that had survived.
    "My name is Angela and you," she asked.
    "My name is Kevin," he said with a smile. Kevin had blond hair like Angela's little brother, Adrian.
    "That's cool. I like your hair," she said to him. She didn't really want to talk to him because she would rather take care of her brother and his friend. Tim was going to become more like a son to her as well as Adrian.
    "Thank you. I love my hair too. I would never cut it," he said with a smile upon his lips. Angela didn't know what else to say because it was awkward talking to him. Then the girl came out into the hallway and called Kevin over. Kevin shook his head no and the girl looked at Angela angrily.
    "What was that about," Angela asked.
    "She likes me, but she isn't really that nice so I don't like her. You're pretty nice though," she said. Before Angela could say anything Adrian was screaming. Angela ran into the room and picked him up. He was still sleeping though. She woke him up and he was crying into her chest. Angela looked at her brother worriedly.
    "Adrian, are you okay," she said trying to soothe her brother. He started to calm down when she rubbed his back. She had always been good at calming her brother down. Adrian fell back to sleep and Tim had woken up when Adrian screamed. Angela got him to fall back to sleep again.
    "You're really good with children," Kevin said to her.
    "Thanks. I've been taking care of my brother since he wouldn't let my aunt hold him. She couldn't even feed him. I would have to," she said. She was just smiling now at the comment. She never thought that she was good with children. His comment brightened her day up.
