I Can't Do This

I can't do this,
It will hurt my family,
It will hurt me,
I can't do this,
Anymore because,
I don't want to hurt you either,
I can't do this,
Or say this to you,
But I have to do this,
Why did you have to ask me?
I don't even know how to answer,
I'm too young,
It's to hard,
I'm only seventeen.
You're almost twenty,
This is why I can't do this,
I'm sorry,
But I can't choose you over,
My family...
So I'm sorry I can't do this.

wow this is really amazing. u did a great job portyraying something that many people experience and did a great job explaining your own thoughts and emotions. and even for people who havent had to make a decision like this before, this makes it easy to understand how difficult it is having to make a decision that will hurt someone important to us either way. really, great job.

Wow, really fantastic poem... somebody who makes you chose over something that means everything to you and leaves because it wasn't them isn't somebody worth it. And if you'd chose your family over that special somebody it's because maybe you know it isn't all right... Does that make sense... ? Eh, honestly, it sounded better in my head, lol. What I'm trying to say is if it didn't work out, then it wasn't meant to be...
