Wasted

I wasted my time,
Trying to be nice to others,
Who are never are nice to me,
And I'll always be nice.

I wasted my time,
Trying to help people,
Who need to be helped,
But wouldn't accept it.

I wasted my time,
Trying to be loved,
By someone who is going to love me,
For the way I am.

I wasted my time,
Being the person,
I am today,
Because I have always lived for others.

Now I want to live for myself,
And some of the people I love,
Because I have wasted so much time,
Trying to be there for them.

Hehe. Did you already have this? Or was this in response to my last review? Very nicely stated. While it is good to do unto others. For our own health we must live for ourselves (except maybe in marraige and even there, you need to do things for yourself). Good poem
