Don’t let your light go out,

Until it is ready to,

Until you are at old age,

Or for other natural reasons,

I have seen people’s light go out before,

And I blame myself,

I wasn’t there to help,

I couldn’t stop it,

I know I should have,

But what could I do?

I am just one person,

And I try to be there for everyone,

When I know I can’t,

But please don’t let your light go out,

Before it is your actual time to die,

I know what it’s like to lose someone,

Why would you put your families through it?

Don’t you think they love you?

Please trust me on this one,

I know you can hear the words I’m saying to you,

So don’t let your light go out,

I am begging you,

And please let me know you are okay,

I don’t want to see you suffer,

Or anyone else,

Please don’t let your light burn out,

You are important to me,

And God,

And everyone else who loves you.
