Distant

Distant

A Poem by Angie Diane♥♥
"

....

"
We used to be so close,
Now we aren't.
She used to tell me everything,
But now we barely speak.
Every time I see her,
There is a faraway look,
In her eyes.
I try to ask her,
What's on her mind.
But she would only say,
"I don't want to waste your time."
I respond that she isn't wasting,
Any of my time.
She only walked away,
Then a few days later,
I received a letter,
From her,
She was thanking me,
For being there,
For her,
I called her on the phone.
But there was no answer.
I left a voice mail,
Then decided to head over to her house,
I knocked on the door,
Her mother answered and smiled,
When she saw it was me.
I went past her,
What I saw made me scream,
She was laying in a pool,
Of her own blood.
She had a note next to her.

We were so close.
But now she is gone,
I can't be there for her ever again,
I will miss you best friend.

At the end she is at her friends funeral crying.
She misses her...after she killed herself.
Don't let your friend,
Become distant,
You may lose her,
In the end.

Damb! This is a really sad peom, even more so cause it is true.... Sorry about your freind, I hate it when something like this happens, happened to my uncle when my cousins were younger, and I bet they both wish they got another chance, but the sad relality is you dont, you have one life to live so live it, no one should ever go early. Good write, and may your freind find peace, and you as well..

I'm confused...The mother answers the door smiling when she knows her child is in a bloody pool on the floor behind her? I just found that a little strange but hey, it's your writing. I loved the first part and the last stanza definitely holds some truth. Good job.
