Untitled # 7

I was just thinking. I don't know what to call it. I will keep it untitled until I think of a proper title

It’s been a long time,

Since I’ve seen the light of day,

I’ve been locked in this place for too long,

I don’t know why I was locked up,

But I was,

In a place,

That was dark,

The light is blinding,

It is hurting me.

 

Being locked away,

In the dark place,

Got me accustomed to the dark,

I can’t be in the light,

It is burning my skin,

But how did I get trapped there,

I don’t really remember.

I have to go back into my mind,

All my memories.

 

I remember walking on the beach,

The sun was warm and pretty,

The sand was in between my toes,

Feeling warm,

All of a sudden a dark cloud was cast over me.

A person was standing near me,

Walking creepily towards me,

I tried to run,

But he grabbed me.

 

The next thing,

I remember,

Is waking up in this dark place,

There was no light,

Only darkness,

I could see nothing.

Because it was too dark,

I needed to see light,

But now that I do it hurts.

 

Walking in the sunlight now,

After being in darkness for years,

Is kind of a strange feeling,

But I guess I can get used to being in the light,

Because now that I have become freed,

I can walk away from this place,

The place I have become so used to.

I am glad this chapter of my life is over.

Author's Note

I was thinking about something dark...and then this came in my thoughts, but I don't know what to title it. I think some suggestions would be nice. It was unfinished so please suggest a title. I haven't been able to think of anything.
