Shutting Down

I feel as if my body is shutting down,

Because nothing seems to be working,

And I can’t feel anything.

 

I feel as if my lungs are burning,

Slowly I am not getting any air,

And I can’t breathe.

 

I feel as if my heart isn’t beating,

Blood is not coursing through my veins,

And I feel my pulse getting weaker.

 

I feel as if there is a sharp knife in my head,

Killing off my nerves,

Now I can’t move.

 

I feel as if I can’t see,

Breath,

Feel my pulse,

Blood is coursing through my veins,

I can’t move,

Because my whole body is shutting down.
