If You Were Truly Sorry.

If You Were Truly Sorry.

A Poem by Angie Diane♥♥
"

It's been nineteen years and the Sharer Family had to suffer greatly.

"
If you were truly sorry,
You would have stopped,
The murder of the twelve year old girl.

You would have saved her life,
Instead of brutally killing her,
Like you have.

You wouldn't have watched,
As Laurie and Melinda,
Assaulted her, stabbed her, and hit her in the head with a tire iron.

You wouldn't have been involved at all,
The only person that truly didn't help,
Was Toni Lawrence.

But she should have stopped,
All three of you,
As well as you.

If you didn't want to kill her,
Then you shouldn't have thrown,
Gasoline on her head.

You wouldn't have watched,
As Melinda or Laurie,
Lit her on fire.

If you were truly sorry,
You should have done something,
That prevent the death Shanda Sharer.

I remember this case. The girls bound and gag Toni, then put her in the back of a car trunk and continued to torture her for hours on end. It was heart numbing and I can't believe that the human mind would even dare to function in such a manner. How awful a tale, yet it's wonderfully written. Thanks for the share.

A sad but true tribute to an awful crime.
