MNL-Chapter 12A Chapter by Angie Diane♥♥Well I hope you like it.Chapter 12 I was walking back to class with a sense of accomplishment. Michelle was finally getting what she deserved. That incident report helped me finally get her suspended. I heard that she was going to be suspended for the next three days. Jonathan glared at me when he saw me in the hallway. I guess Michelle sent him a lovely text telling him she was suspended. “You got what you wanted. Yet you’re the one that deserves to be suspended. You hit her hard in the face. You broke her nose. I don’t understand how you didn’t get suspended for that. I never understood why I wanted to get back with you. I hope you’re happy that you’re single and alone. I will warn other people to stay away from you,” Jonathan said with a smirk on his face. I turned around and smiled at him. “I really don’t care about what you have to say. Don’t forget you were the one that wanted me back. It wasn’t the other way around. I still don’t want you. You should stop being a girl hopper, pay attention to the girl you chose over me, and leave me alone.” Jonathan grabbed my arm and pulled me into a kiss. I was pretty shocked. I pulled away from him as quickly as I could. I wanted to smack him, but I didn’t since I promised my mom. “You’re always going to be mine, little girl. Don’t forget that.” “You don’t own me. I will never be yours ever again. You’re worthless to me,” I said while he walked away. He turned back around and smiled evilly. It seemed like he was trying to tell me he wasn’t joking. I wasn’t joking either. I will never get back together with someone like him. He doesn’t deserve me. I walked to class and gave my teacher the hall pass. He smiled at me as I walked to my seat. Most of my teachers are friendly except for my gym teacher. She’s just a grouchy old lady. She hates her job so much. Why would you even become a teacher if you hate your job? I sat down next to Alex and took a good look at him. His eyes had dark spots underneath them. My guess was he didn’t get enough sleep last night. I was worried about him. His clothes also looked dirty. I tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention. I noticed that he was starting to fall asleep. He looked over at me and smiled. He was about to pass out. I caught him before he did. “Aubrey, please take him to the nurse.” “Alright, I will,” I said. I put his arm over my shoulder. Luckily he was really light. I got him to the nurse as fast as I could. The nurse looked just as worried as I was. He looked like he was sleeping peacefully now. I went back to class since because I was instructed to. The nurse told me that Alex would be fine once he got some rest. I was still worried because I was wondering why he was so tired. I wonder if he’s even been eating lately. I was going to make him eat half of my lunch. Hopefully he’s better by then. When lunch time rolled around he was waiting for me. The nurse told him to get something to eat. “Alex, are you doing alright,” I asked him with concern. “I’m fine. Why do you ask?” “You passed out in class this morning. I ended up bringing you to the nurse’s office this morning. You looked extremely tired when I first saw you. Are you hungry, Alex? Do you want to share some of my lunch?” “I don’t want to take your food, Aubrey, Thank you for offering. I’ll get something to eat. I’ll charge my lunch. I don’t have any money on me right now,” Alex responded while standing up. I reached into my purse and pulled out a five dollar bill. I handed the money to Alex and he shot me an uneasy look. “Please Alex, take the money. I don’t want you to be hungry. If you ever have a problem you can with anything please come to me. I don’t mind helping you out. You are one of my friends. I love you and don’t want to see anything bad happen to you. Plus you have been helping me out a lot lately also. I have a question.” “Thank you, Aubrey. What’s your question,” Alex responded giving me a small smile. “Are you able to come over my house on Friday? We have the day off and my family is having a picnic. My mother told me I can invite anyone I want to. I would love if you come.” “I would love to come over. I have nothing to do on Friday,” he responded. I still could see the pain that was in his eyes. I don’t know what’s going on, but I know he’s hiding something from me. I really am starting to wonder what he’s hiding. When we walked into the lunch room we showed the security guard our IDs. Alex went into the lunch line. The only thing Alex got was a box of fries and a carton of chocolate milk. That came out to a dollar and fifty cents. Alex tried to give me the rest of my change back, but I refused. “Keep the money. You don’t have to pay me back,” I responded. He smiled at me and rested his head on my shoulder. He eventually fell asleep after eating lunch. The poor thing was really tuckered out. I still don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes, but I know it’s something bad. I noticed that Nicole was glaring at me from the other side of the table. I wonder what her problem is. Nicole turned away from me and went back to talking to Becky and Jess. Becky and Jess shot me a worried look. They were pretty worried about Alex. “Do you know what’s been going on with him lately,” Jess asked me. “No, I have no clue. All I know is he’s just been really tired. I don’t know what’s going on. He doesn’t tell me any of his problems,” I responded while looking down at the table. Nicole was still glaring at me. I could feel the tension between us. Jess and Becky looked back and forth between us. They were able to feel the tension also. They both looked really uneasy. “Well he should be fine,” Nicole responded giving us attitude. It was the first thing she said to me. I glared up at her. She really was starting to piss me off. Alex didn’t look fine to the rest of us. “He doesn’t look fine to us. Why do you have such a bad attitude all of a sudden,” I asked her as gently as I could. I was trying not to sound angry. It was hard. “You ran away this morning! You didn’t even answer my text messages over the weekend! Why didn’t you answer me? I sent you what eleven text messages. You never even bothered to answer. I was so worried about you and you expect me to act like everything is peachy kin with us. Well, it isn’t.” “Honestly, you should have known that it’s been three months since Carson died. We have family time that day. It’s not like I would have been able to answer anyway. My brother was lying in my arms. He’s having the hardest time accepting Carson’s death. I was trying to keep my brother happy. Plus I was depressed myself. What kind of friend are you?” She didn’t have a response to what I said. She ran out of the lunch room with tears streaming down her face. We haven’t been in this huge of an argument in a long time. I really believe we need some time apart. Becky went after Nicole and Jess stayed with me. I started crying again. I really hate crying in public so much. Alex woke up from the commotion. Right now I really don’t want to invite Nikki to the picnic. If I did there would be more unnecessary drama. Nikki and I will probably make up in a couple of days. We both need time to cool down. Friends do get into huge fights every once in a while. It truly wasn’t really a huge fight. It was just a small argument. I felt Alex pull me close to him. I blushed a little bit when I realized that. My guess was he was trying to calm me down. I’m really glad that he’s been there for me. © 2016 Angie Diane♥♥Author's Note
