Chapter 21

Mason and I were in the mall. He got money from Mom and Dad for us to share. I was glad that I was going to Hot Topic today. I was going to get a couple of Tokio Hotel T-shirts. I also wanted a Gaara T-shirt. Mason paid for me when we went out. I don’t know how much money he had on him. I know I only had forty dollars.

“Sis, do you think we can go see a movie while we are here?”

“Sure, we can do whatever you would like. It is all about you today little brother.” I said while pulling him into a hug. His eyes had a light within them. He was so happy to have this bonding day. I loved having bonding days with my little brother. He is really cute when he wants to be. Sometimes he could be a bad boy, but he is mostly good.

Mason’s dark brown bangs fell into his eyes. He was walking silently next to me. I paid for the movie this time. He paid for my shirts. I was glad that the movie was only 6 dollars. Since this movie theater had been rebuilt it has been cheaper to go to movies at even though it’s in a mall. They had to rebuild a whole section of the mall. Mason held my hand during most of the movie because it was horror. I could do well with horror, but Mason not so much. He didn’t scream or anything, but he was silent after the movie as well.

He held my hand really tightly. I knew he was still really scared because that movie was completely scary. “Hey Mason, it’s going to be okay. You know nothing like that will ever happen in real life. I promise, Mason, and you know I keep my promises.”

“You’re right. I know nothing like that movie will ever happen.”  Mason said calming down. I was happy that it did.

After a couple of hours we were tired of hanging out at the mall. Mason bought a couple of video games that I paid for because I wanted to. I was glad that they were having a sale. It was buy two get a game for free. I only paid ten dollars for two games. Mason wanted two video games for the Playstation he had set up in his room. I went in there to play games with him a lot. Most of them were family oriented, but some of them were not. He played a lot of the violent games. I played sports games with him because I actually liked to play sports games.

Mason was happy with his purchases. He was still a little freaked out about the movie because they had a video game for it. The movie was called “Zombies Ate My Neighbors”. They had a game like that. You had to save your neighbors from the zombies. That was what the movie was based on. I bought that game secretly because I have played it before. I didn’t want Mason to find out. He would have been more freaked out if he did.

We decided to stop off into the store Against All Odds. That store was just an amazing store to be at. They had a lot of great designer clothes. I mostly would buy South Pole jeans from that store. They were having a sale that day. Mason bought himself a new jacket. I was really happy that he did. He was happy with that purchase two.

A couple more hours later we were both ready to leave the mall. I know Mason was getting hungry. You didn’t want to see him when we he was hungry. I was thinking of bringing him to a diner. I loved a diner that was around the corner from my house. I didn’t want to bring him there. I wanted to bring him to a new place he had never been before. I knew that they had a whole bunch of restaurants around. I decided I would bring him to a buffet place. I would pay twenty dollars for both of us to eat as much as we want. Normally we would only get one or two plates of food.

“Do you want to go out to dinner?” I asked him.

“I would love to go out to dinner with you. Where are we going?”

“We are going to go to a buffet.”

“Cool. I love buffets.” He said with an excited tone of voice.

After that little discussion we left the mall. We were about to cross the street when a car didn’t stop in time…they weren’t going too fast, but you could tell that they weren’t paying attention. it was about to hit me...but…
