Chapter 24

                I was glad that we got a restraining order on Jonathon. That means that he can’t come 300 feet near me. The school knew the situation. They switched him out of a lot of classes to keep him away from me. If he came near me that means he would be breaking the restraining order. I needed this restraining order. He keeps coming near me and he is stalking me. I know must stalkers don’t like to listen to laws. I think Jonathon is one of them.

                He won’t leave me alone no matter where I am. I was glad that I wasn’t actually going to school for the next two days. I can’t wait to stay home and look after Mason. It is my fault that he got hit by the car. It was my fault that I had frozen up in the street. Mason was coming home today which was a good thing. He didn’t have to stay any longer, but it took a while to get him released. We waited for a couple of hours. Mason fell asleep and my dad picked him up and put him in the wheel chair. All patients had to go in a wheel chair. Well Mason was going to be in a wheel chair anyway. Mason sat in the way back of the car because he had to have his leg up.

                The doctor prescribed him pain medication and that medication is really strong. My mother didn’t really want him to take it, but she knew he was going to have to. Having a broken bone is so painful.

                I was lying next to Mason on my bed. He was lying straight because he couldn’t turn over. We kept his leg leveled so he wouldn’t be in too much pain. His head was on my chest and he was sleeping. I was just lying there looking up at the ceiling. So much has gone on lately. I have been really stressed out because of Jonathon. I’m just glad if he violates the order he will get in a lot of trouble with the police.

                My phone went off, but it was on vibrate. I didn’t want to wake up Mason. He was sleeping soundly which I was happy. He was on his pain medication though. He wasn’t in as much pain because of that. “Hey Aubrey, I just wanted to check on you. You didn’t come to school today is everything okay?”

                It was Nicole that just sent me a message. “I’m fine. I’m just taking care of Mason. He has a broken leg.”

                “Oh my gosh, how did he break his leg?”

                “Jonathon hit him with his car. He wasn’t paying attention and he was about to hit me with the car. Mason pushed me out of the way and he got hit instead. I blame myself for his injury because I froze up on the road. I should have realized that it was Jonathon. It seems like he’s stalking me.”

                “I’m sorry for what Jonathon has done! I want to hurt him so bad. I am trying to keep myself from attacking him.”

                “I have a restraining order on him. He can’t come in within 300 feet of me. If he does there will be a problem. At least now we have classes 300 feet away from each other. Michelle on the other hand can still come near me. I want to change that, but she doesn’t stalk me. She stalks Alex. Did I mention that Jonathon pinned me down and kissed me?”

                “He kissed you again! He has a lot of nerve considering the fact that you are with Alex. Does he ever realize that you don’t even like him anymore?”

                “No, he doesn’t realize anything. Hey, I’m going to have to go. Mason is sleeping and I don’t want to wake him up. I will message you later.” My phone went off again, but it was from Theresa this time. I would talk to her for a couple of minutes before I woke Mason up.

                “Hey Aubrey, are you okay?”

                “Hello, I’m fine. Mason isn’t though. I am watching him for the next couple of days until my mom can get out of work.”

                “What happened to him?”

                “He was hit by Jonathon’s car. Jonathon wasn’t paying attention. It was my fault that Mason got hit. I didn’t get out of the way so he pushed me out of the way. Jonathon hit him with the car. It is entirely my fault.” Tears were starting to fall again. I didn’t like telling the same story over and over again.

                “I AM GOING TO KILL JONATHON! How dare he hurt, Mason! Poor Mason I hope he gets better. What happened to Mason after he got hit by Jonathon’s car?”

                “He broke his leg, but he will be alright. He gets a few weeks off of school. I know he isn’t all that happy. Well I have to go because Mason is sleeping. I will text you when he wakes up or I’ll just talk to you later.”

                I was crying a little bit, but I would be okay. I just needed to get a little bit of sleep. I didn’t sleep at all last night. Mason was all I was worried about. I wanted to get him whatever he needed. I was going to wake Mason up in a couple of minutes anyway. He needs to eat something for lunch. I was going to make him so soup and sandwich. Mason liked to dip his sandwiches into Tomato soup. I knew he would enjoy this lunch.

                Before I woke him up I fluffed his pillow and fixed everything I could for him. I ruffled his hair which made him smile in his sleep. I decided to wake him up. “Mason, I’m going to be making you some lunch okay. I will turn the television for you.”

                I got up and turned the television on. Mason watched it until I got back with his lunch. I made him grilled cheese and tomato soup. He was happy and ate contently. I was still not all that happy. I didn’t want Mason to know I was still sad.

                “Sis, are you okay?”

                “I’m fine, Mason. You don’t have to worry about me.” I kissed him on the forehead and he smiled.

                “You don’t look fine to me though. You look really sad. Are you still blaming yourself over this?”

                “Yes, Mason, I am because I didn’t move in time. If I had moved you wouldn’t have gotten hurt in the first place.”

                “I want to sit on you so bad right now. I wish I could because then I wouldn’t let you up until you believe this isn’t your fault. I have an idea.” He said and pulled out his phone. He sent a message to one of his contacts. I didn’t see which one. About an hour later I heard on knock on my front door. Alex was standing at the door. He had a balloon and some flowers in his hand. He kissed me on the cheek.

                “Hey honey, I have some balloons and flowers for Mason. I didn’t want to get the flowers, but my mother said it would be the right thing to do.” He said.

                I took the flowers from him and gave him a long kiss. I was happy he was here. When we got up to the room he sat on a chair next to Mason. “Hi Alex!”

                “Hey kiddo, how are you feeling?”

                “I’m fine for now. Can you do me a favor?”

                “What is it?”

                “Can you sit on Aubrey for me and tell her it’s not her fault?” Alex stood up and smiled evilly. I knew this was going to be a fight. I wanted to run, but he pounced on me since I was standing up. He put me onto the bed next to Mason and he sat on me.

                I tried to get him off me for the next couple of hours. I finally figured to just believe Mason and Alex let me up. I gave Mason a hug. I had fun with the boys that day. It was just all and all a good day.

awww, love how Mason had Alex sit on Aubrey for him. :) thats cute. and YES THERESA SHOULD KILL HIM!!!! and YAY! Aubrey got a ristraning order against him!!! Thats frikin awesome!!!!!
