Chapter 11

                I was going to the doctor today to see how the baby was doing. I was glad that I had a doctor’s appointment. I was going to be five months in a week. I knew by then the baby could hear Mommy’s voice. I went into the doctor’s office. I was reading a magazine while I waited.

                When it was my turn I giggled when I saw my sonogram. The baby was looking so cute. I knew that he wasn’t that big yet. “You’re little boy is doing fine.”

                “Thank you, doctor. I will see you soon.” I said and smiled. With that I went home to get ready for the big game. Alex wanted to have a little get together with a couple of friends from school. I was going to hang out with Michelle that day. She was going to bring the baby by so I could see him. I knew that it was going to be noisy in the house. The baby was going to eventually get cranky because he won’t be able to take a nap.

                I was cooking food while Alex was cleaning up the living room. His friends Ted, Nathan, and Lane were coming over. I thought they were pretty cool, but I didn’t really talk to them too much. They worked with Alex and that’s all I know that they do. Alex became friends with them pretty quickly. I was glad that I didn’t have to clean everything. I wasn’t in the mood to cleaning. I wasn’t feeling all that great. I don’t know what it was, but it made me feel weird. Alex and I were going to be going to the police station to get a restraining order. Melody had shown up at my place of business. She was mad at me because I haven’t left Alex. Well guess what Melody I’m not going to leave him we are a cute couple.

                “Alex, I finished cooking. When are they going to be here?” I asked him.

                “They will be here in about an hour.” Alex told me. I nodded and went into our room to take a nap. I had to be awake when they got here. I knew that Michelle was coming around six o’clock. I needed this time to nap. I knew I wouldn’t get any sleep later.

-At Work; Flashback-

                Melody came into the store. She had a wicked smile on her face. “What would you like to order?”

                “I would like oatmeal and a coffee to go please.” She said as politely as she could. I knew that she didn’t like to play nice when it came to me. She asked me to talk again. I told her no and she looked at me angrily. I wasn’t in the mood to hear her crap tonight. Melody should know that I am tired of her showing up at my place of business.

                “Is that all, Miss?” I asked her politely. I was polite to all customers even stupid girls like her.

                “Yes, have a nice day.” She said.

                “You have a nice day as well.” I said. When I got off of my shift Melody was waiting for me. She slammed me into the wall. It hurt my shoulder. I wanted to cry, but I was going to stay strong. I just glared at her.

                “I want you to leave Alex alone. He isn’t your man anymore. He is my man now. If you don’t leave him alone I will make your life miserable.” She told me.

                “You already are making my life miserable. Now please let me leave so I can go back to my house.” She got out of my way.

                “I’m warning you to stay away from him.” She said.

-End of Flashback-

                I woke up a couple of hours later. I wasn’t in the mood to have the guys over. I didn’t tell Alex that. I just straightened up again and there was Ted, Lane, and Nathan. They smiled at me and gave me a hug as each of them came in. I just smiled politely and showed them to the living room. I served the boys some beverages. Not alcoholic beverages, but just some soda. Alex was having fun with his friends. I was sitting their miserable. I just left the room and went to go lay down again. I was crying by the time I got to the room. I didn’t want Alex to see me cry.

                I knew I fell asleep again sometime later. Alex was shaking me awake. “Michelle’s here, honey.”

                “Thanks for letting me know.” I got up and greeted her. I still wasn’t all in a great mood. I looked down at her baby who smiled up at me. He was giggling when he saw me. I smiled at the little boy then I looked up at Michelle. Nothing has really changed about her since the last time we saw each other.

                “Hey girl, it’s been such a long time.” I said and hugged her. She took the baby out of the car seat. He seemed happy when he was out. He was giggling again and he was sucking on his pacifier. This made me couldn’t wait to see my little boy. I just wanted to hold him and give him the tiniest hug. He started to cry after a few minutes. I guessed it was because he needed a diaper change. I showed Michelle to our bathroom. She changed him and he was giggling again. He was a happy little camper when his diaper was changed.

                “I know. I have missed you. I know we have a lot to catch up on.” She said. She looked down at the baby that was tugging on her shirt. Michelle kissed him on the cheek. The baby reached out for me to hold him. I took him into my arms. He was giggling a little more. “I’m glad he likes you. He is normally shy around new people.”

                “I could understand why. I’m sorry about the noise in here. I know that when he wants a nap all he is going to be hearing is screaming in the next room.” I said.

                “It will be okay this little guy can sleep through anything. Is everything okay though, Aubrey?” She asked me concerned. She was looking at me attentively. I just nodded and we sat there in an awkward silence for a little bit. I was going to decide what to tell her first. I couldn’t figure out which to part to start out with. I had two options to choose from; I could tell her the part when Melody entered my life for the first time or I could tell her about Melody stalking me. I didn’t know which one I wanted to start out with. I snapped back into reality when the baby pulled on my shirt. He was giggling at me which made me smile more. I was glad that Michelle had such a happy baby.

                “I’m fine. I’m just a little tired. I had a really bad day at work.”

                “Do tell.” She said. I just nodded and decided that I was going to start from the beginning when Melody first showed up at our door.

Good place to start Aubrey. Oh my I love this chapter, and does Melody know that if you hurt the woman while shes pregnant it can have effects on the baby. But anyhow, I hate her. I don't honestly think he is cheating on Aubrey. I hope not at least.

I am so glad that Michelle has such an awesome baby and that Abury has such a good friend. I really hope Melody leaves them alone.
