I Made Up My Mind

I was listening to Sleeping with Sirens when I was writing.

I made up my mind today,
I had things to think over,
What I had accomplished in life,
Just thinking over and over.
Does my life really have meaning?

I made up my mind,
That my life has meaning,
But I just have to find it,
What is the purpose of my life?

I made up my mind,
My purpose in life,
Is to help people,
But not help myself.

I always help them,
More than I help me,
But I really need to change that,
Because I need to focus on myself...

But I can't...
When their are people,
Out their that need me....

I made up my mind,
I am important,
I'm not worthless.

Sometimes you got to put yourself first. Its not selfishness its loving yourself. Besides if you neglect yourself you won't be able to help anyone else.
