Life is our Toy

Life is our Toy

A Poem by Eric Wagner
"

We are the makers of our destiny. Life is a toy in our hand.

"

The sun speaks to me everyday.

Always has something special to say.

It's not always bright, not always cheery,

but always to my heart, always clear to me.

This morning I heard his song.

The humming I could feel so strong.

The music revolved around, lifting me fifty feet from the ground,

I knew how to fly, so high in the sky, I could see all the way around.

I can see just how far we've come,

exponentiating our combined sum.

Towards endless joy, we will deploy,

on a journey together, our plans in our hands like a toy.

This is so good. I like it a lot and you did good on this. Trust, this is great, I myself write poetry too, so I should at least somewhat know. From poet to poet. But maybe try some diction that slightly less grammatically exposed people can more easily understand. (I didn't know what "exponentiating" was before this, and I had to search it up, but I did get to learn a new word. So thanks)

Again the subject is the sun and life but the romanticism still lingers. The flow of yours always enchants.
